Saint Monica House

Since 2002, the Brady's Annual Christmas Fundraiser has been in support of Saint Monica House. We donate some money from each Chistmas turkey that we sell and collect donations and gifts at the store.

Saint Monica House provides professional support for single parent women, young parents and their children through residential supported housing and community programs.

This year, we will donate $2 from every turkey we sell to this great charity. As always, we will provide a place to drop off gifts and donations at our store. Please consult their 2008 Letter and Wish List for more information about which gifts are needed and what your donations will go towards. On behalf of Saint Monica House, thank you!

In our 5^th annual fundraiser we raised over $1400; and also recieved numerous boxes of much-needed items. We would like to thank all the people who donated; with a special thank-you to Angie Hill of KoolFM, Naomi Pickersgill at CKWR 98.5, and our very own Krystal, who took it upon herself to campaign at her school and collected lots of goodies for Saint Monica House!

Rick Hansen's Wheels In Motion

For the past two years, the Brady's Annual Thanksgiving Fundraiser has been supporting Rick Hansen's Wheels in Motion campaign. We donate $2.00 from every turkey we sell to making a difference in the lives of people with spinal cord injury. We also provide a place to make donations at the store.

This year, we hosted a charity barbecue in support of Rick Hansen's campaign outside the store on Friday, October 3; and we raised $758! In total, we raised $1418!

In 2007, we raised over $800! Brady's and Rick Hansen would like to thank everyone who donated to support this great cause.

50/50 Raffle

We had 50/50 tickets available in support of a local woman's quest to beat cancer from our store. The draw took place on June 1st, 2008.

Out of the Cold

Brady's is proud to provide food for First United Church of Waterloo's "Out of the Cold" program! They are looking for help, so if you have the time, please consider volunteering for this wonderful program! Information is available from the church's website.

Car Wash for a Kidney

On Saturday, October 27, 2007, Brady's hosted "Car Wash for a Kidney", a fundraiser in support of the family of Brandy, a local girl who needs a new kidney. Proceeds from the fundraiser went towards the family's transportation to and from Toronto during Brandy's stay in the hospital, housing near the hospital for their family, food, and other expenses. Brady's raised $250, and the car wash raised $503; bringing the total to $753! Brady's and Brandy's family would like to thank all the generous people who donated!

Shinerama 2007

In September 2007, Brady's Meat & Deli was an official Shinerama site! Between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, customers had their car windows, shoes, or other items shined in support of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CCFF). This project was put on in association with the Wilfred Laurier University Students Union.
